One of the greatest rain rides in the world, and the most spectacular in the western hemisphere, runs through the Copper Canyon area of northern Mexico. This unforgettable rail journey requires 39 bridges and 87 tunnels as it climbs from sea-level to over 2500 meters (over 8,000 ft.) through some of the ruggedest, remotest and most awe-inspiring geography imaginable. This engineering marvel took almost 90 years and 90 million dollars to complete.
