Wikipedia
This open, collaborative project intends to produce a complete encyclopedia from scratch. Started in January, 2001, it now has well over two million articles in English, as well as many more in other languages. One caveat: Anyone can add an article as well as edit anybody else's article(s) so all facts should be cross-checked with other sources.
